France protests horrifies Donald Trump. How He attempts to prevent a potential uprising in the U.S.
“It looks like a war zone” The Guardian quotes one France Charity worker describing the scenes of the streets in France. Since Sept., primarily the French youth and young adult's have taken the streets of many cities. Even burning down the city hall of Limoges. The Protests which expanded from student protests about abysmal school funding to now protesting the economic failures of a capitalist system, Since 2000, French wages have increased 11% while inflation has risen 55% inflation. A story eerily similar to America, which is why Donald Trump is afraid.

On Oct.19 Trump took to Truth Social to put his own spin onto the protests claiming that it is due to France's open border policies that has led to the unrest.
The post seems to be written in a frantic worried tone as if Trump is genuinely concerned about France, However his solution seems to be one that deliberately ignores the common reason on why protestors are taking to the streets.
Which of course the unrest is due to the cost of living crises in France and the severe underfunding of education . While the story in the U.S. isn't too different, With the Iran war raising prices across the board the fears of Inflation is increasing amongst the public with 66% of U.S. adults believing inflation is a very big problem facing the nation, which was up from 63% last year.
While adding three more posts about the events he shows news footages showcasing protestors with Palestinian flags adding more to the blame of immigrant's rather than the actual roots of the protests.
In contradiction to Trump, France P.M. Emmanuel Macron blamed the protests on “insurrectionist elements from radical far-left groups, joined by numerous criminals.”
As French authorities haven't attributed the protests and riots to immigrants but rather "far left groups"
With the rising popularity of the Democratic Socialist party of the US, The true concern of Trump seems to be an angry united American public which is why I believe that he put an unrelated twist to a story for his supporters to believe and fight for, further dividing an ever so divided American Public.
When in reality the American Public is largely united in its belief that inflation and cost of living is becoming ever more unsustainable combined with the lack of wage growth since 2020 and the rapid inflation of American good's that have defined the decade and has strained Americans of all groups.
We have the right to be as angry, as loud, and as united as France in order to call for a change in our failing system system.
